Helsinki Haze Wave Festival postponed to 2024
Unfortunately, Helsinki Haze Wave Festival will not take place in 2023. This difficult decision was made due to the long-lasting sick leave of one of the key members of our festival team, Erkki Häme, the founder of the festival and the founder and Creative Director of Pien – causing us to not be able to continue organizing the event this summer.
Helsinki Haze Wave Festival is produced by Pien, by a small core team of professionals. Erkki’s role in leading the festival vision and production as well as organizing all the breweries to participate in the festival is significant and after many discussions, we concluded the workload to be too great to hand over. In this situation, the well-being of our entire team is the number one priority.
During his sick leave, Erkki will recover from burnout, and we’ll give him all the support and time he needs to get better. You can read more about the situation on his personal social media (only in Finnish): read here.

In 2024, we promise to return with a BANG. The festival will be full of great craft breweries and beers, food, DJs and good times – so we hope to see you all next year! The festival dates and location for summer 2024 will be announced soon.
Purchased tickets for Haze Wave 2023 will be automatically valid for the 2024 festival. Ticket holders will also have the opportunity to get a refund or exchange the tickets for a voucher to Pien Webshop. All festival ticket holders have been contacted via e-mail with further instructions. In case you have purchased a ticket but did not receive information via email, please contact us at info@hazewavefestival.com and we’ll send the details.
Pien will organize great beer events in Helsinki during the original festival dates 28.-29.7., so we recommend arriving in Helsinki for a fun summer weekend! More information will follow, so be sure to follow Pien’s channels on social media!
